As For Me and My House

“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” - Joshua 24:15

This verse is in a song from Promise Keepers. My father and I attended Promise Keepers at the Silverdome in Detroit when I was in Elementary School. I had never seen my dad cry until we started singing that song with tens of thousands of men. We were both balling our eyes out and made a covenant that Joshua 24:15 would be the verse for our house. I am now 22 years old and will never forget that moment I shared with my dad. This Christmas I am going to give my family bracelets that say "Joshua 24:15 "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.""
Thank you for reminding me!
